23 May - meet at 13:50 for the 14:00 showing

This month it’s back to our usual UGC Toison d’Or venue and group ticket.

Following April’s hugely enjoyable  A United Kingdom, our film is (quite by chance!) another British production set in the forties, this time during the war.

It’s Their Finest (1h57min), a witty romantic comedy about a young woman recruited to write the “women’s dialogue” for propaganda films designed to boost public morale during the blitz.

It stars Gemma Arterton and Bill Nighy alongside a cast packed with other famous faces.  The director is the Danish filmmaker Lone Scherfig.
